Curt Porritt
Senior Vice President of Marketing, MasterControl
Curt Porritt has over 22 years of experience in the high-tech industry, including more than 15 years of upper-level management experience. He played an integral part in designing and managing WordPerfect’s international development organization — one of the first in the world to produce software products simultaneously in more than 30 different languages. In 1995, Curt began his own consulting firm that helped software companies achieve the highest possible ROI from their international markets. During his five years as a professional consultant, Curt worked with dozens of companies to help them achieve a 30% to 60% higher return on investment from their international markets.
More recently Curt served as President and CEO of 10x Marketing – an Internet marketing firm focused on helping companies realize more visitors to their websites, convert those visitors into new customers, and thereby generate greater revenue from the Internet. While serving as the CEO of 10x Marketing Curt received the Top Twenty Five Under Five award three years in a row from The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum as well as the Top One-Year Old Company award in 2004.
In his current position as Senior Vice President of Marketing for MasterControl, Curt has merged his international experience with the latest breakthroughs in global Internet marketing. His efforts with MasterControl enabled him to become a finalist for the 2009 Chief Marketing Officer of the Year award from The CMO Institute and CMO.com.
Curt is also a member of the Board of Directors for Life-Line – a residential treatment facility that helps troubled teens overcome destructive behaviors such as substance abuse, criminal activities, pornography addiction, relationship problems, and other self-defeating behaviors that prevent them from living a full and happy life.
In his spare time Curt enjoys teaching classes on Internet marketing and marketing strategy for the Small Business Development Center in Salt Lake City. He has also authored a book entitled The Basics of Business, which serves as the text book for one of these classes.
